For shoots reaching Komodo, Raja Ampat, Sumatra or remote islands, we build compact, self-enough sound packages that travel easily by flight and boat.

Here is how the work shapes up. We supplement the core team with local sound crew familiar with regional conditions and languages. Indonesia's acoustic landscape is as different as its geography. The country is the world's largest archipelago, around 17,000 islands across the equator, and its tropical climate brings heavy rainfall, an intense chorus of insect and bird life, and a wet monsoon season that complicates exterior recording. Jakarta is among the noisiest cities in the region, while Bali, Yogyakarta and the rainforests of Sumatra each pose their own acoustic challenges.

Here is how it adds up. The dry season, roughly April or May to September or October, gives the most dependable conditions for location sound. With over 700 languages spoken across more than 1,300 ethnic groups, local sound crews bring valuable familiarity with regional dialogue.
