A fixer is the production's single point of local knowledge: arranging filming permits with the relevant national and regional authorities, sourcing crew and gear, booking lodging and transport, managing community relations, and solving the problems that surface daily on a shoot in an unfamiliar country.

Here is the layout. Our team scopes the fixer's role to the project, from a small scouting trip to a full feature, and surrounds the production with the wider support roles it needs. Fixers handle the practical realities of the archipelago. This includes inter-island travel, monsoon spares and remote-location logistics, and they bridge language between visiting crews and local teams. Costs are settled transparently in Indonesian rupiah. Our fixers for global clients communicate fluently in English. A good fixer is indispensable in Indonesia precisely because the country is so vast and different.

Here is how the work shapes up. The world's largest archipelago, it spans some 17,000 islands and around 280 million people across more than 1,300 ethnic groups and over 700 languages, under the national motto 'Bhinneka Tunggal Ika', or Unity in Diversity. Foreign shoots need filming permits set up with the relevant ministries. The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Kemenparekraf, actively supports film and the creative economy.
