CGI & 3D Animation

For Indonesian shoots, that supports creature and environment work for horror and fantasy, set extensions and digital builds, and stylised animation for commercials and digital work.

Jakarta studios deliver the substantial majority of the country's 3D and CGI screen work, with reviews confirming each asset before final integration. Indonesia gives CGI and 3D artists a wealth of cultural and natural reference.

Here is how the work shapes up. The archipelago's volcanic landscapes, drawn from a country with around 130 active volcanoes on the Pacific Ring of Fire, its rainforests, reefs and ancient temples at Borobudur and Prambanan, all inform digital environment and creature design. Indonesian horror cinema, led by Joko Anwar's 'Satan's Slaves' and 'Impetigore', draws on a deep well of folklore and supernatural belief that gives CGI creature and effects work a distinctive identity rooted in local culture. The country's heritage of wayang shadow-puppet performance and intricate craft traditions gives further visual inspiration.

With streaming sites investing heavily in Indonesian-language genre content and the domestic industry growing fast, the Jakarta post community has expanded its CGI and 3D skill, building digital visuals that supports Indonesian storytelling for cinema, television and global platforms.
